OSAGE — Osage senior Saige Collins will take his competitive gaming career to the next level after signing to compete in esports at Wartburg College.
Collins has been part of the Osage esports program for four years and has competed at the varsity level the past two seasons. During that time, he qualified for state competition every year he participated — a level of consistency that speaks to his dedication and work ethic.
“That kind of consistency says everything about his work and commitment,” Osage Activities shared in announcing the signing.
At Wartburg, Collins plans to study accounting while competing for the Knights at the collegiate level. Wartburg’s esports program provides student-athletes the opportunity to represent the college in organized competitive gaming while balancing academic responsibilities.
Collins’ signing highlights the continued growth of esports within Iowa high schools and the opportunities now available for students to extend their competitive careers beyond graduation.
Osage Activities congratulated Collins on his achievement, noting the pride the school and community have in his accomplishments and the excitement to see what he achieves in the years ahead.
