Riceville FFA member Caleb Marr has been named the state winner in Diversified Crop Production Placement for his proficiency award through the Iowa FFA Association.
Marr will be recognized on stage at the 2026 Iowa FFA State Leadership Conference for his accomplishment, an honor that highlights excellence in hands-on agricultural work and record-keeping through a supervised agricultural experience program.
The Diversified Crop Production Placement proficiency award recognizes students employed in crop production operations, where they gain experience in areas such as planting, harvesting, equipment operation and crop management.
With his state title secured, Marr’s application now advances to national-level judging. If selected as one of the top four finalists in the country, he would be recognized on stage at the National FFA Convention.
Riceville FFA members and supporters congratulated Marr on the achievement, noting the dedication and effort required to earn state-level recognition.
The Iowa FFA proficiency awards program honors students across a broad range of agricultural career pathways, encouraging members to build career skills and pursue opportunities within the agriculture industry.
