MASON CITY- The Osage volleyball team used big scoring streaks in three separate sets as they knocked off Newman Catholic in the season opener 3-1 (25-10, 22-25, 25-15, 25-12) to win their first match of the season in Mason City on August 25.

The Green Devils scored nine in a row in the opening set, 10 in a row in the third and seven straight points in the fourth as they took control of a 1-1 match to win the final two sets.
