There were some new faces on the court, but the result was more of the same for the Saint Ansgar volleyball team as the Saints opened the 2026 season with a 3-0 win at Nasua-Plainfield.

The defending Class 1A State Champions have only one returning starter in senior Quin Osgood and they were conspicuously absent from the pre-season rankings by the IGHSAU.

Head Coach Stephanie Beaver said before the season started, “I think we are maybe a little underestimated.”
