Regardless of rankings, the Osage boys wrestling team knows the target is always on their backs and they embrace it. The start of the 2025-26 season starts with the usual expectations as they enter the year ranked third in both the tournament team third in the and dual team rankings. Some opportunities come along just once in a lifetime and that was true for the Osage Youth Football fifth and sixth grade teams.

It wasn’t the dream ending the Osage football team was hoping for, but what a ride the Green Devils had in 2025.

There were tears, cheers, high fives and hugs. It was a night to remember in a season many will never forget.

The Osage football team beat Alburnett 12-7 in the Class 2A Quarterfinals at home on November 7 to advance to the semifinals at the UNI-Dome on November 15 against Van Meter.
