The Board of Education unanimously approved both agreements July 13. Superintendent Tony Hiatt said both are extensions of existing arrangements.

“Both of the positions are shared positions being extended. Nothing new,” Hiatt said in an email.

Under Iowa’s operational function sharing program, the two agreements qualify the district for supplementary weighting equal to 13 students in the state school funding formula.
