Shop on State broke ground Monday on its new facility at 121 Orchard Road and expects construction to begin this week as the organization moves forward with plans for a permanent home on the east side of Osage.

Osage Veterinary Clinic has added two new veterinarians at a time when rural communities across northern Iowa are seeing fewer veterinary clinics, longer travel distances for care, and growing demand for both pet and livestock services.

OSAGE, Iowa — For 75 years, Mitchell County Regional Health Center (MCRHC) has been a trusted part of life in Mitchell County. Now, its locations in Osage, St. Ansgar and Riceville are taking a major step into the future with the launch of a new electronic health record system. 

Osage High School students started earning formal recognition for their volunteer work this spring. 

Sheriff Greg Beaver turns in his badge May 31, after 26 years leading the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office.

Owen Clark earned a spot in the 38th Annual All-Iowa 8th Grade Honor Band and performed with the group May 14 in Des Moines.
